How will I be able
to access my private FTP account?
All private FTP accounts can be accessed like
any other FTP account. All you need is an FTP program, or
a web browser capable of FTP connections. Please refer to
your specific software instructions for setting up access
to FTP account.
Will I be able to
access my FTP account anonymously?
No. The Private FTP Accounts must be accessed
with the user name and password that will be supplied to
you upon ordering. If you access the server anonymously,
you will only get Pages 2 Go's anonymous server.
How is the Private
FTP secure?
The Private FTP Accounts are secure in two ways.
First, the FTP account is not accessible via anonymous
FTP methods, thus no one can get in to see what you have
on your FTP. In addition, standard login to the FTP can
only be accomplished with the user name and password
given to you.
Can I set up other
account names of people that I want to have access to my
Private FTP?
No. In fact, the only way to gain access to your
FTP is with your user name and password. You can give the
information to another person to allow them temporary
access if you like, but there is no way to set up user
lists of people that can access your FTP.
What if I suspect
someone is using my FTP account illegally?
If you are suspicious of someone using your
private FTP account, please contact Pages 2 Go
immediately to have your password changed. If problems
persist, Pages 2 Go can reassign your user name, but only
under severe situations.
Does it cost
anything to have my password changed?
No. If you ever need to change your password
just let support@pages2go.com
know and it will be taken care of. You will be notified
by e-mail when it is changed.
Can I change my
user name?
The only way to change your user name is to open
a new FTP account. If you want to do this it is possible.
There will be a transfer fee, which may be waived upon
Pages 2 Go's discretion. Please contact sales@pages2go.com for further information if you decide to do
this.
