What should the
extensions be?
You should make sure your scripts are in the .pl
extension in order to use them properly.
Can I place
scripts somewhere other than in the CGI-BIN directory and
have them run?
No. The CGI-BIN directory is set up with
execution privileges, and most of the other directories
are not. If you need to change the permissions on your
directories or scripts once they are on our servers,
please contact Technical Support for more information.
Where can I get
some scripts that might be able to work with your server?
There are many free scripts available on the
internet. Doing a search for scripts in any search engine
will get you thousands of entries to explore. If you are
looking for something specific, there are many places out
there that will supply scripts for free, however you have
to figure out how to set them up for yourself. Remember,
Pages 2 Go is not responsible for scripts that you might
put on the server. If you are having problems with a
script, please contact the creator of that script.
What is the exact
path to the Perl 5 interpreter on my server?
The first line of any Perl script will require
the absolute path to the Perl interpreter for the script
to work properly. The correct syntax for this line is: #!\perl5//bin//perl
