What is your mail
system?
We use the imail system on our NT servers so
that you the customer can administer your own e-mail
accounts at your leisure.
How do I log into
the imail server to set up e-mail accounts?
When you sign up with our service you will
receive a packet of information that will state the
method of accessing your imail server for e-mail
administration.
Why is there two
e-mail accounts already on my server?
These two accounts are set up by default when we
establish your mail account. These accounts do not count
toward your plan limit. The "root" account is
not an e-mail account and should not be used. The
"username," account is needed for you to access
the imail server to change, add, or delete mail accounts.
Please do not use this account as an e-mail address. In
addition, DO NOT delete either of these accounts
or it could cause your server to not function properly.
Why are the
mailbox maximum messages and size both set to 0?
These are set to 0 by default. It is not recommended that
you change them. By default this means unlimited, however
if you do decide to change these settings please remember
that they are listed in bytes not kilobytes.
Why can't I get to
my imail administration page?
It is possible that your domain does not yet
work. If the InterNIC has not finished setting it up or
transferring it, you will need to use your IP address to
access the imail server. Just punch in the IP numbers
followed by :8181, and you should get there.
Can I use your
SMTP host for sending mail?
Sorry this is not allowed. In order to ensure
everyone is working fine, we do not allow the use of our
SMTP servers for outgoing POP3 activity. Please set up
your e-mail software to use your dial-up providers SMTP
instead. This helps us cut down on the possibility of
"spam" being sent out through our servers.
